There is something mysterious and magical about the number 40. It recurs not only in Biblical stories, but also across other traditions including Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam and even ancient Egyptian mysticism.
Jesus fasted for 40 days and 40 nights.

40 Day practices have been a powerful force in my life for several years. The devotion and commitment is richly rewarded by results.
Using simple 40 day time periods, I’ve had the following results:

🙪 Return to and maintaining ideal body weight
🙪 Upleveled my yoga practice
🙪 Healed old relationship wounds

The last one was a BIG one!
I committed to 40 days at home after my baby was born, to heal after birth, to close the womb, to rewire my whole brain for motherhood, to bond with my baby, and ultimately to reset for the next 40 years. It was a huge challenge, but I’m still reaping the benefits.
To close out 2019, and reset for 2020,
I’ll be embarking on a 40 day Sadhana practice.
This will that brings together daily somatic, logos and ritual elements. Sadhana is a means of accomplishing something through devotional commitment. This has been a secret to many shifts, uplevels and transformations in my own life. For me, 40 is a magic ingredient in transformation. And now I want to offer it through a shared group experience. Doing this together amplifies the effect and keeps us accountable.
